Molecular (supramolecular) gels are self-assembled stimuli responsive soft materials. We have contributed to the fundamental understanding of their formation in organic and aqueous media,  and to the study of emergent catalytic properties.

Lately we are interested in the incorporation of photoactive units in the gels and in their preparation at nanoscale, affording nanogels with envisaged biomedical applications.
